It was kind of nice seeing a straight forward fist-fight between Shogo and Kogami. No weapons, no magic, no robots, no nothing. Just two guys duking it out. It feels like it’s been awhile since I’ve seen something like that so it was a welcome way to handle their showdown. It also vaguely brought up images from the fights in Cowboy Bebop for me for some reason which is always a plus. Something about the angles or moves or something. The conclusion with Tsunemori coming in at the last moment was pretty predictable though. As soon as she said that she’d catch up with him you had to know that she’d pop in just at the right moment to save the day.
The dialogue between Kagari and Shogo’s right-hand man was well done. Kagari’s got every reason to want to see the Sybil System fail but despite that he still won’t betray his friends and aide the terrorists. He might take his sweet time getting there but he will get there.
I was a bit behind due to a busy couple weeks but I ended up lucking out. The end of episode 16 is such a cliffhanger that I absolutely could not wait to see what happened next, and I was able to jump right into 17. I feel this episode was a huge Continue reading
